The lake is open for sailing!

Our lock was put on to the gate today, sailing has started!
First race day is 11Jan but there is a fair bit of tidying up to be done
at the lake first, plus the usual clean out of the container. Next Sunday
morning there is a swap meet/bring & buy at the Warnbro shopping centre and
a few members will be there with donated goods to sell as a fundraiser.
All are welcome to come along for moral support (8-11am), then in the afternoon
and the following Sunday afternoon there is a busy bee at the lake.

SPONSORSHIP

Sandgropers are grateful to Healthway who have sponsored our club for 2007/2008 season. With this sponsorship we are now able to make some improvements for the safety of our club members and visitors.
We will be replacing the bunting (which is well overdue) to separate the race course from the parking/spectator areas. The purchase of binoculars and two way radios keeps us in contact with the sailors when sailing out on the course. The shelter area is now non smoking for the comfort and health of those non smokers. The shelter area is to be extended with a shade sail. Sunscreen is provided so we all can be sun smart. New Helmets are to be purchased for the use on the Club Yachts. Hopefully we’ll have enough left over for the purchase of a few other bits and pieces. Again thankyou the Healthway for their support in 2007 / 2008.
